We are a family business that have a long tradition in food making and fine dining businesses back in the old country. Since the late 70’s, Norway has been a home to us. While my husband has been working as a senior technology executive at several of Norway’s leading global companies, which has required long working hours and much travel, I have dedicated my full time as a mother, raising three children and everything that it entails. 

 

Our diet has been the best of both worlds, mainly a Mediterranean diet and the Norwegian fresh ingredients, free from GMO’s and low on antibiotics. At home we maintained our core traditions of homemade healthy Mediterranean  dishes that reminds us of our home country. 

 

However, since we oftentimes were unable to find the “real” thing in Norway, we were dependent on our family shipping us supplies of products and some of our own family produce like olive oil, freekeh, tahini, za’atar, bulgur, Arabic coffee and halva, to mention a few.

While in the west veganism movement went mainstream. Health, climate change, animal welfare are driving more people and brands to embrace a plant-based healthy lifestyle. Much of the world is trending towards plant-based eating — this global fashionable shift is here to stay and is a welcome bandwagon worth jumping on.

 

Being inspired by my own family’s traditional cooking, a plant-based lifestyle to me was the normal. I remember my mother could cook a vegan dish everyday all year around, and we never had to eat the same dish twice during that year. 

 

From here, I was inspired to start this journey, with the goal of offering a healthier and sustainable food choice in Norway and the Nordics, with our carefully selected premium superfood products collection. I believe the products represent good and sustainable choices.

 

Like our suppliers we are guided by our philosophy and values, which is to offer affordable and high-quality plant-based products, that are natural, non-GMO, delicious and loaded with nutrients and health benefits.
